McFly announced as Thursday headliner for Norwich Rock N Roll Circus

The award-winning Rock N Roll Circus is bringing its unique blend of live music and circus thrills to Norwich for the first time, taking over Earlham Park from 14th–17th August 2025The festival promises to be a highlight of the summer in East Anglia, featuring some of the biggest names in music.

Pop-rock legends McFly have been announced as the opening night headliner on Thursday 14th August, where they will kick off the festival in style with an electrifying set of their greatest hits. They’ll be joined by Eurovision sensation Sam Ryder, and a stellar supporting cast, including Lottery WinnersRianne DowneyDeco, and Norwich favourites Youth Killed It.

Fresh from his crowning as King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2024, McFly’s Danny Jones will be bringing his champion energy to the first-ever Norwich Rock N Roll Circus. Fans can look forward to seeing the newly crowned star perform live alongside his bandmates.

In a joint band statement, McFly said today: “We can’t wait to return to Norfolk next summer! Rock N Roll Circus in Norwich sounds amazing. See you there!”

 

With over two decades in the spotlight, McFly has cemented their status as one of the UK’s most beloved bands. They burst onto the scene in 2004 with their debut album, Room on the 3rd Floor, which became the youngest-ever debut album to top the UK charts. The album’s success earned them a Brit Award for Best British Pop Act in 2005.

Since then, McFly has racked up seven UK number-one singles, including iconic hits like “Five Colours in Her Hair,” “Obviously,” and “All About You,” and sold millions of records worldwide. Renowned for their high-energy live performances, they’ve headlined arenas across the globe and have a dedicated fanbase that spans generations.

The band’s musical evolution has seen them experiment with various styles while maintaining their signature catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Fans at Rock N Roll Circus can expect a show packed with nostalgia, infectious energy, and plenty of sing-alongs.

Sharing the Thursday spotlight is Sam Ryder, the UK’s Eurovision heroRocketing to fame with his viral TikTok covers, Sam captured hearts worldwide with his chart-topping hit “SPACE MAN” and his uplifting charisma. His soaring vocals and infectious positivity make him a standout performer for the festival.

Adding to the line-up are the indie chart toppers Lottery Winners, Scottish singer-songwriter Rianne Downey, rising pop stars Deco Norwich’s own Youth Killed It.

On Friday 15th AugustCourteeners take centre stage. One of the UK’s most iconic indie bands, Courteeners have topped charts and headlined festivals nationwide.

Also included on this line-up are indie rockers The LathumsReverend and The Makers, The Lemonheads, Brooke Combe, The Clause, The Rosadocs, October Drift, Pleasure Inc., Arthur Black and Gabby Rivers.

Rock N Roll Circus delivers an immersive experience, blending world-class music with breath-taking circus performances. Expect acrobatics, aerial displays, and fire shows under the iconic Big Top – ensuring the magic continues no matter the weather.
